School Disco - Thank you
What an amazing night!
To every single one of our 40 incredible volunteers – thank you from the bottom of my heart. The disco simply would not happen without people like you giving up your Friday night so hundreds of kids could make memories they'll be talking about for weeks.
A few special shout-outs...
Seb & Nicole – thank you for your time and bringing the music & vibes – incredible.
Mel – thank you for completely owning our Quiet Space. You created such a calm, safe place for the kids who needed a little break from all the excitement. It made a huge difference.
Paula – our OHS queen! Thank you for working your safety magic all night and making sure we all stayed upright. A disco without falls is your great achievement!
Rejoice – thank you for your beautiful kindness. When the night got cold, everyone was tired and we'd all been on our feet for hours, you somehow still had encouraging words and a smile for everyone. You're one of those people who quietly lifts those around you.
Julie – out in the cold no worries! All with smiles.
Tran – what can I say... you smashed the Pizza Packing Station! Those pizzas flew out like a well-oiled production line. I'm pretty sure you've got a future in Formula One pit crews.
I'd honestly love to mention every single one of our volunteers individually because every one of you played such an important role... but if I start listing all 40 of you, I fear half of you will stop reading before I get to your name! Please know your contribution mattered, and we noticed every single effort.
A huge thank you also to the Disco committee, John and Vicky for staying back, supporting us throughout the night, and helping guide everything behind the scenes. Your willingness to roll up your sleeves alongside our volunteers means so much, and I genuinely appreciate your support.
Finally... thank you for saying "yes."
Thank you for setting up, packing up, serving food, supervising, cleaning, directing traffic, comforting children, keeping everyone safe, and doing all the little jobs that nobody notices—but without them, nothing would work. Because of you, hundreds of children had a night full of laughter, dancing, singing and memories they'll never forget.
From the bottom of my heart... thank you. I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing school community.
