Sacramental Preparation Update: Additional Session Offered

The Parish office have recently received enquiries from families who missed the registration deadline for the 1st Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation program, due to its earlier start date this year. 

To ensure every child has the opportunity to participate, the Parish will be running a supplementary series of classes. 

1st Holy Communion Sacramental Program

The 1st Reconciliation/Holy Communion Sacramental Program will be offered for children in Grade 4 and above, who wish to prepare for these Sacraments this year. 

Classes: Thursdays, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Location: St. Mary's School, Ascot Vale 

Commencing: 10th September (8-week program during the school term) 

No classes during Term break: 19 Sep - 4th Oct

Date for 1st Holy Communion: Saturday, 28th November

St Mary's Church, 6:00 pm Vigil Mass.

A parent (or grandparent) is warmly encouraged to attend each session with their child.  This is a wonderful witness of Faith for the child and helps foster meaningful family conversations about the Faith and the resources provided for each week's Catechesis.

Sunday 30 August, 8:30am at St. Margaret's Church, Maribyrnong.

Term 4

Year 5 and 2027 Prep Family Mass

Sunday 29 November, 8:30am at St. Margaret's Church, Maribyrnong.

2026 Year 6 Graduation Mass

Thursday 10 December, 6:00pm at St. Mary's Church, Ascot Vale
