Greater Western T-20 Cricket Competition

Well dome to our boys who competed in the Greater Western T-20 Cricket competition last week in Ballarat. The boys did very well, winning two matches and losing two by a small margin. A big thank you to Kate and Tom A for helping with the cricket.

Foundation – Year 5 Activity Day

Last Friday was the Foundation – Year 5 Activity Day. Each year level travelled to a different school. A big thank you to our Year 6 students who led the sporting activities for all the Year 5 students at Sacred Heart. Thanks also to the teachers and LSO’s who assisted on this day.

Soccer Classes

Our Year 5 /6 students are currently learning the skills of soccer. The children had a great day learning some skills from soccer coach Kian.

Year 5/6 Swimming Program

Our students in Year 5 and 6 will attend swimming lessons at Bluewater from Monday 8th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, Friday 12th, and Monday 15th December. Lessons will take place between 11:30am – 2:30pm. Swimming is part of the school curriculum, so it is important that all the students support this program. 

More information will be sent out via PAM closer to the event.

1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are dance, tennis and swimming.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is tennis.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Tennis is my favourite sport because I love hitting the ball back and forth.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I won a race against people who were in secondary school.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my strength (I have very strong arms) and I think quickly.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I get to meet new people.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Essendon footballer Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti.

8. Why are they your favourite? Tipungwuti is my favourite player because he was a great football player for Essendon

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Essendon.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am kind, competitive and very funny.

1. What sports do you play? The sport I play is netball.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is netball.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Netball is my favourite sport because it is a fun game with lots of different positions and I get to play with my friends.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I shot my first goal in a netball match.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my confidence, and I am quick at moving around the court.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because I get to play with my friends and I get the chance to make new friends.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Australian netballer Kate Moloney.

8. Why are they your favourite? Kate Moloney is my favourite player because she is a good ‘centre’ player and she is fast and passes the ball well.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the the Melbourne Vixens.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am confident and good at sport.

1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are basketball and dance.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? Dance is my favourite sport.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Dance is my favourite sport to play because I get to go on stage and show the audience all the skills that I have learnt. 

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I was able to shoot netball goals in the ring.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my speed and aligity. I am able to run away from my opponent in netball.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because I get to play with my friends and it is fun.

7. Who is your favourite sports person?  My favourite sports person is LeBron James.

8. Why are they your favourite?  LeBron James is my favourite player because he is a fantastic basketball player.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is Collingwood.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach would describe me as a very good sports person and beautiful.
