Wellbeing Update

Supporting Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Over the Holidays

As the holidays approach, we recognise this is a valuable time for students to rest, recharge and enjoy a variety of activities. During this time, we also encourage families to support students in consolidating the wellbeing skills they developed throughout Term 1. This will help students return in Term 2 feeling confident, calm and ready to learn.

Opportunities to support your child at home include:

  • Encouraging children to talk about their feelings and reflect on their day
  • Maintaining simple and flexible routines
  • Celebrating small achievements and recognising effort
  • Balancing screen time with other activities
  • Engaging in regular movement and exercise
  • Prioritising sleep
  • Making time for activities they enjoy
