Eclipse House News

From day one back after the holidays, the boys have settled back into boarding life exceptionally well and were very excited to welcome our new Gap Assistant, Hamish Arnold, to the house.

The atmosphere on the first night back was fantastic, with all of the boys spending time in the common areas sharing stories from the recent mid-term break. It is always a highlight to see the boys out and about in a social setting, genuinely enjoying each other's company and strengthening the positive culture within the house.

The Eclipse Pool Competition has continued to grow in popularity. A special mention goes to Craig Weich, who finished on top at the conclusion of last term and has maintained his position at the top of the leaderboard so far this term.

We have also celebrated some significant milestones over the past few weeks, with Eden Bairstow and Patrick Buccenara both celebrating their 18th birthdays. These occasions are always special moments within the house, providing an opportunity for everyone to come together, celebrate an important milestone, and enjoy a little birthday cake.

There have also been some excellent football results recently. A special mention goes to our Boarding Captain, Zane Cairns, who scored his first league goal. Hopefully it will be the first of many to come.

We have had the pleasure of welcoming both Hamish Arnold, our new Gap Assistant, and Curtis Mumford, our new Boarding Supervisor, to the Eclipse team. Hamish has done an outstanding job getting to know the boys, providing support throughout the day, assisting Sally during the mornings, and being present most evenings to help with the nightly routines.

The boys have also enjoyed welcoming Curtis to Eclipse House. It is fantastic to have more staff members contributing to the positive culture of the house alongside our dedicated and hardworking boarding supervisors. Their support and commitment continue to play a vital role in creating a welcoming, caring, and vibrant boarding environment for all of our boys.
