Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of a busy and productive Term 2, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and partnership. It has been a rewarding term filled with learning, growth, and strong connections across our school community.

Building Removal Update

The removal of the old portables is almost complete, with the final structures expected to be taken off-site this week. We are very appreciative of the Department of Education for their coordination and flexibility, which has helped to minimise disruption to our students and staff throughout this process. Unfortunately Breakfast Club has had to be cancelled again this week due to the proximity of the works.

Three-Way Conferences – Thursday, July 3

Three-Way Conferences will take place on Thursday, July 3, and we encourage all families to book a time via Compass. This is a student-free day, allowing for valuable conversations between families and teachers about each student’s progress and learning goals.

Camp Australia will be offering OSHCare on this day for families needing supervision for their child.

Welcome Back to Principal Chris Beare

We are excited to welcome back Principal Chris Beare at the beginning of Term 3, following her period of rehabilitation and recovery after knee surgery.

I would like to sincerely thank Assistant Principal Kate Stimpson for her outstanding leadership, guidance, and support over the term. Further thanks go to our Learning Specialists Natalie Becker and Ebony Ritchie, who have played a vital role in supporting the leadership team and driving whole-school improvement throughout my time as Acting Principal.

Pyjama Day – This Thursday!

A reminder that Pyjama Day will be held this Thursday, June 26. Students are invited to wear their cosiest pyjamas and bring a gold coin donation. All funds raised will go to The Pyjama Foundation, supporting children in foster care through literacy and mentoring programs.

Values Launch Day – Friday, July 25

We are excited to announce our Values Launch Day will take place on Friday, July 25 as we officially celebrate and embed our new school values:

Collaboration (aqua)

Respect (orange)

Perseverance (purple)

Students are encouraged to come dressed in aqua, orange, or purple to represent our new values.

A sausage sizzle snack will be provided to students – please ensure the permission form is signed on Compass. Don’t forget to also pack lunch for the day.

Early Finish – Friday, July 4

Please note that the last day of term, Friday, July 4, will be an early finish at 1:00pm.

Staff Appreciation

Thank you to all of our staff for their hard work and professionalism throughout the term. It has been a term full of learning, fun and friendship.

Wishing all of our families a safe, restful, and enjoyable school holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 at 8.45am on Monday, July 21st.

Kind regards,

Mel Lloyd

Acting Principal
