St Philomena's Years 3-10 Swimming Carnival
Last Tuesday 17th February, our school community travelled to Narrabri for our annual Swimming Carnival. What a day to kick off our Carnival season for 2026. The energy on the day was electric, and the day was filled with school spirit, grit, and of course plenty of swimming. Participation was key when we introduced a new event to our Carnival, the All - In. It was inspiring to see so many students have a go, earning valuable points for their house.
Our House Groups are a vital part of the continual development of our strong student community. Goretti, McAuley, Mercy and Savio battled it out on Tuesday and the overall tally was extremely close. Congratulations to Goretti, the winning house for our 2026.
While every student should be extremely proud of their efforts, the final tally showed just how close the competition was this year.

Knights Rugby League Clinic (Secondary)
On Thursday, special visitors from the Newcastle Knights Community Team visited our school to deliver their INSPIRE program to selected 9/10 students. It was fantastic to see everyone's teamwork and skills on display during this clinic. Everyone came away with some extremely valuable tips and tricks in relation to Rugby League! What an awesome morning it was.
