5 minutes with Helen Bradnam

  • How long have you worked at PPS? Four years at Parkdale Primary, but this is my 20th year in first aid/admin.
  • What is your ideal way to unwind and relax?    A visit to the theatre, I love live drama, musicals and comedies.
  • When you were little what did you aspire to be?  I wanted to join the Air Force and be an air traffic controller.  I spent a few years in the Air Training Corps, but then after university decided the military life wasn’t for me.
  • Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one? The piano and the oboe.
  • If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?   Poached eggs on sourdough with spinach and Marmite (the English one).

5 minutes with Shelley Keating

  • What is your role at the school?  Everything but teach, just call me a jack of all trades.
  • What is the most rewarding part of your job?  Every day is different, and being able to help out in different areas is very rewarding.
  • What is your ideal way to unwind and relax? Beach swims
  • What is your favourite sport to watch or play?  Watching AFL (my team is Geelong Cats) and I played basketball, until my body decided it wasn't a good idea anymore.
  • If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pasta, with a creamy chicken sauce.
  • What’s your favourite holiday destination? Anywhere in Queensland. I love beaches and the heat.

5 minutes with Jane Hulley

  • How long have you worked at PPS? Seven years
  • What is your role at the school?  Administration (front desk, attendance, accounts receivable)
  • What is your ideal way to unwind and relax?  Going out on the bay in our boat.
  • When you were little what did you aspire to be?  A primary school teacher.
  • What is your favourite holiday destination?  Italy especially Cinque Terre.

5 minutes with Helen Teasdale

  • What is your role at the school? 

    My role at Parkdale Primary School is Business Manager. 

  • What is one of your favourite moments at Parkdale Primary School? 

            The surprise Flash Mob performance by the students 'Don't Stop Me Now' which

            Leanne organised for assembly at the end of 2025.

  • What is the most rewarding part of your job? 

    The most rewarding part of my position is working with wonderful, dedicated staff and working in a primary school.

  • What’s your most fond childhood memory? 

    My fondest childhood memory is growing up in Papua New Guinea with my family.

  • What is your favourite sport to watch or play? 

    I played softball, netball, also breaking a 100 metres State Athletics record during my secondary years at boarding school in QLD.  At the moment, my newly found enjoyment is trying to play golf.
