I would like to also acknowledge and thank the staff who are leaving St Joseph the Worker at the end of this year; Connie Bof, Vanessa Wannis, Helen Nervosa and Mary Donis.
As Connie, Helen and Mary prepare to embark on the next chapter of their journey, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible impact you’ve made during your time with us. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to your students have left an indelible mark, and we are so fortunate to have had you as part of our school family.
You’ve inspired, challenged, and nurtured the minds and hearts of countless students, and your positive influence will continue to shape their futures. Thank you for your hard work, creativity, and the countless ways you’ve gone above and beyond to make learning meaningful and memorable.
While we are sad to see you go, we are excited for all that lies ahead for you. Your next school or role will be so lucky to have you, just as we have been.
Please know that you will always have friends and supporters here. We wish you nothing but success, happiness, and fulfillment in all your future endeavours.
To Vanessa and Daniel, who are looking forward to the safe arrival their first child in March next year, we say best wishes from all in our community.
We will also be saying welcome back to Cara Hill who is returning in 2025. Cara will be resuming leadership of Physical Education at our school next year.
Next year we welcome a number of new staff to our school next year: Jane, Vivian and Maryanne are experienced teachers joining our community in 2025, Roberta will be joining us as student counsellor and we are also welcoming Eleni, who will be working as a learning support officer.
End of Year Mass
Our End of Year Mass will be celebrated our mass on Tuesday, 17th December at midday. All families and friends are welcome to join us at this mass to celebrate another successful year at St Joseph the Worker as we have much to be grateful and thankful for. Students are free to wear casual clothes, and asked to bring a gold coin donation, for our sponsored child Vivian, in Tanzania.
Thank You
We also want to express our sincere thanks to every parent for the trust you place in us and for your continued support throughout the year. Your involvement in classrooms, library, art room, fundraising, excursions, and more is deeply valued by all the staff, and the students. Your contributions ensure that we continue to work in close partnership with you to support your children's education and maintain a strong, vibrant school community.
Our Sacramental Program and school liturgies have been meaningful and prayerful experiences, supporting our students' faith development through our Religious Education Program. Thank you to Kate and the teaching team for their dedication to teaching our students about the Catholic faith, traditions, and preparing them for sacraments and liturgies.
Our learning and teaching opportunities continue to be outstanding, and a special thanks to staff for their invaluable contributions. Our excursions and incursions have been highlights of the year, as was our School Christmas Carols event, which showcased our talented students. We enjoyed a wonderful Art Show that included a visit from our many Grandparents. This was truly a highlight for our community.
We are immensely grateful to all the staff for their extraordinary efforts this year. We appreciate the dedication and hard work of our teachers and support staff. We are fortunate to have such a committed team who genuinely care for the students. We wish them a well-deserved and restful break.
A sincere congratulations and thank you to our Student Leaders for their exemplary representation of the school this year. Your leadership has been inspiring. Congratulations as well to our newly elected leaders for 2025. We are confident you will continue to uphold the legacy set by this year's leaders and continue to serve as outstanding role models for our school community.
