Our BIG Summer Read participants were super excited to receive their certificates and canteen vouchers.

This is a Public Libraries Victoria reading initiative to combat the ‘summer slide’ in literacy over the holidays. Many schools, including ours, are joining in with all the fun.

All students were invited to read and record 10 books from 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2024 plus a book review on one of their books.

Sam Arancibia was emotionally overcome when she won the book review lucky draw.

Library Lovers’ Day – Wednesday 14th February

Our library monitors have been busy preparing displays and blind date books for Library Lovers’ Day on Wednesday 14 February.

To celebrate Library Lovers’ Day, our school community was invited to:

Share what they love about their library on our display hearts.Blind date a book in the brown paper bags.Speed date a book on Wednesday 14th February at lunchtime in the library.Post their book reviews and why they love the library in our LOVE box.

Prizes awarded for the best review!

Library Monitors

All students are invited to volunteer as library monitors at lunchtime. Application forms can be found in the library. Students receive positive credits for participating but more importantly, develop self-confidence, valuable work skills and make lasting friendships.

Library Lunchtime Clubs

Our lunchtime clubs have returned! 

And don’t forget teachers and tutors are available to help with homework, and study 4 nights a week after school.
