Parents and Friends

A big welcome WPS Families to the 2024 school year from the Parents and Friends Committee (P&F).  We are very excited to see new families joining our school community this year. We are looking forward to getting to know you all over the year ahead.

So, you may be asking what is the P&F Committee anyway?

Our goals include:

  • Contributing to the wellbeing of the school community
  • Encouraging families to participate at WPS
  • Promoting relationships and inclusivity for the students, parents and staff
  • Fundraising for essential school programs and activities

Your support in our school community can be in many and varied ways and we are appreciative of and welcome all skills that individuals can offer!

We would love to start planning for the year and exploring options that will both bring our school family together as a team and raise some funds to invest back into our kid’s education.

This is where we now ask for your help!

P&F COMMITTEE CO-ORDINATORS NEEDED

We are calling for parents to help run the P&F Committee in 2024!

Elaina is stepping back from co-ordinating the P&F Committee this year and so we are looking for some parents/carers to help with tasks that allow the committee to continue to fundraise for WPS.

We need volunteers to:

  •  Co-ordinate the communication of events
  • Liaise with supermarkets for donations

We are aware family life is busy and you are all juggling many roles so we do not want to create a burden for anyone.  Our hope is that if many pitch in and do a single task each, then everyone’s collective efforts will produce success.

TOASTIES CO-ORDINATORS NEEDED

For Toasties to start up again, we are calling for a volunteer to weekly collect the ingredients needed to make the toasties.  Prahran Woolworths have kindly agreed to donating them each week. So, it involves picking out the supplies, arranging the donation with the staff and then getting them to the Food Tech fridges ready for preparation.

If any of these task’s appeal to you and they are something you would like to help with then please contact Elaina on 0407 431 429.
