Principal's Report

Welcome to the new school year at Windsor Primary.  I do hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer break; it has been wonderful to hear what the students did during their holidays and some of the amazing places they went to.

A big welcome to our Prep students and their families.  The students have transitioned into their first term of school so well.  A big thank you to everyone involved.  Another big welcome to our new families in other year levels.  We are accustomed to movement in our community, and we look forward to getting to know you.

It has been a smooth start to our year and a lot of that is to do with the effort that the staff have put into planning and implementing a program that equally focuses on the students knowing that they have a place here at Windsor where they belong and an environment where they can individually and collectively thrive, but also the clear expectations on them as individuals and collective.

We are looking forward to the year and it has been a very good start.

Over the break more buildings and grounds work was completed.  A number of defects from the building project were attended to and I am happy to say the list is getting shorter and shorter.  The landscaping took another step forward with repaired and additional fencing installed, the continual greening of our deck area and more works on the front landscape.  Good news from last week is that the Building Authority are looking at a commencement date for the play space at The Avenue end of the school. Hopefully more news on this very soon.

Once again, welcome back and hoping all the best for everyone in 2024.

It is this time of year that the Department of Education (DOE) asks schools to remind their families of the Schools Privacy & Information Sharing policy and the Photographing, Filming and Recording Students policy.

The school collects and uses student and parent personal information for stand school functions or where permitted by law as stated in the policy.  We also collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy explains how these are used and explains when a parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.

Below is a link to the policy page of our website where all community shared policies are available.
