A message from our

First Aid Officer

Dear Parents/Carers

I would like to remind parents that it is very important to keep the school updated with your child’s medical history and any new health issues. This will help us keep your children healthy and safe in school.

Any changes or new health issues need to be updated and recorded on the school system.

If your child needs to take medication at school, please fill out a Medication Authority form and drop it off at the office with the medication.

All Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Epilepsy, Allergic Reactions, Diabetes Medical Action Plans need to be updated yearly by your GP.

A copy of the Action Plan needs to be handed to the office to update medical information.

Please find attached important medical forms that you may need.

Year 7 Immunisation Information

If you have already returned a consent card, please disregard this message.

Early this year your child should have received a consent card for the Year 7 school vaccinations – HPV and DTP booster vaccines. These vaccines are offered to all Year 7 students in Victoria.

Council’s Immunisation team is scheduled to attend Epping Secondary College, Tuesday 17th October 2023 to vaccinate Year 7 students.

It’s not too late to return a consent card!

As a courtesy, a copy of the consent form is attached below for your information. This can be printed, completed and returned to the school, or can it be completed and emailed back to immunisation@whittlesea.vic.gov.au.

If you DO NOT wish to have your child vaccinated or your child has already received this vaccination, we ask that you still complete the form but tick NO. No signature is required for a NO consent. No further follow ups will occur once received.

These vaccines are recommended for this age group and are free. Free vaccination is also available through City of Whittlesea's Immunisation service. Alternatively, you can visit your family GP.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Council’s Immunisation team.
