V-Industries Café

VCE VM Work Related Skills

On the 4th of September, the Year 12 VCE VM Work Related Skills and Personal Development classes transformed D15 into the V-Industries Café.

In the lead up to the event all students worked hard to simulate the operations of a pop-up business, with the goal of serving coffee and toasties to staff at Epping Secondary College.

Preparations saw the students develop their skills as purchasing officers, café team leaders, food safety officers, promoters and entrepreneurs, and customer service officers. It was a great opportunity for all students to put their growing employability skills into practice. The students worked well within their smaller teams and as an entire group.

The coffee making team put to good use skills they had learned from the Barista and Food Handler's Certificate incursion they participated in earlier in the year.

The V-Industries Café is a valuable experience for all involved and is growing to be one of the banner events on the VCE VM calendar. We look forward to growing this event with next year's cohort and thank all involved for their support and hard work.
