Some catch-up photos of a wonderful ex-student, Henderson Intermediate Kapa Haka Ropu and staff shining.
Max Talbot was co-captain of our National Champion Rippa Rugby team some years ago. This year he won the Graham Henry Cup for Junior Academy Player of the Year.
Graham Henry was the Principal of Kelston High School before going on to become coach of the World Cup-winning All Blacks of 2011.
Nuree is regarded as one of New Zealand's top up-and-coming coaches. She is engaged in a high-performance coaching programme that saw her climbing mountains in the South Island recently. You can see the stunning Mount Aoraki (Aorangi in the North Island dialect) in the background.
Henderson Intermediate Kapa Haka Ropu will compete at the Intermediate Schools Nationals soon. In preparation, they came to visit our school and performed for us. It was an outstanding performance - as we have come to expect from their group - and our children were well and truly wowed by them.
Siala Clarke is a valued member of our Support Staff at Western Heights. She is also wife to ex All Black Great Eroni and mum to All Black star Caleb.
She travelled to France for the latter stages of the World Cup recently.
