Book Week Events

Dress Up Day and Parade
Our annual Book Week dress up day will be held on Monday, August 18. On this day, students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. A special Book Week assembly will be held in the gym from 9:05am – 9:30am, where students are invited to show off their costumes.
This year, our Book Week Dress Up Day will raise money for Reading Out of Poverty (ROOP), an Australian registered charity and not-for-profit organisation which aims to close the literacy gap and bring the joy of reading to Indigenous children living in remote communities in Far North Queensland. The money raised will be used to build five pop-up libraries and deliver over 2500 books.
Students who come to school dressed up are asked to bring a gold coin donation for Reading Out of Poverty (ROOP). Learn more at https://roop.org.au/book-week-2025/
