What's Happening In Italian? 

Ciao, Mi Chiamo, Paula Di Ciocco, I am the Italian teacher at Mackellar Primary School. 

Term Three, in Italian has been a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn Italian in an energetic, exciting and encouraging environment. 

The Grade Preps have been learning about I Colori and the L’acrobaleno – The Rainbow song both in English and Italian. 

Grade Ones - This term we are learning about greetings in Italian and acting and performing in front of the class. Grade One’s are learning about Gli Animali, The Animals in Italian. 

The Grade Twos are learning about La Famiglia, The Family. We enjoy reading the book, Mangia, Mangia. 

Grade Three are learning about greetings and the names of the La scuola objects in Italian. We are going to make a diorama, La casa and name the items in Italian. 

Grade Four are learning about, Il Tempo – The Weather/Seasons/Calander/Days of the week named after the Planets. 

Grade Five are learning about adjectives and describing about their self in Italian and creating a self-portrait poster in Italian. 

The Grade six’s are learning about the Italian regions and landmarks in Italy and creating a brochure.
