FAITH MATTERS
MRS ALISON WRIGHT - DIRECTOR OF FAITH & MISSION

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope the break offered a time of rest, renewal and connection with family and friends.
As we begin a new term together, we are invited once again to live out our school theme of Conscious Compassion—to be mindful of the needs of others and to respond with kindness, generosity and care in our daily interactions.
This weekend, we pause to mark ANZAC Day, a time of remembrance and gratitude for those who have served and sacrificed for our country. It is a solemn reminder of the cost of conflict and the enduring hope for peace in our world. As we reflect on this day, we are reminded that peace is not only something we hope for globally, but something we are called to create in our own lives. Peace begins with each of us—in our words, our actions and the way we treat one another. In the spirit of our chapel prayer this morning, may we be people who choose understanding over judgement, compassion over indifference, and unity over division.
As we begin this new term, we also celebrate the generosity of our school community during Project Compassion last term. Through your efforts, we raised an incredible $1130.70 to support the work of Caritas Australia and their mission to empower communities in need.
A special acknowledgement to our House contributions:
Woods: $128.55
Additional funds were raised through the LRC Easter raffle, as well as collection boxes in the front office, canteen and other areas of the school. Every donation, big or small, has made a meaningful difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed so generously. Your actions are a powerful example of faith in action and a reminder of what we can achieve when we come together for a common purpose.
As we journey through Term 2, may we continue to be people of hope and compassion—bringing peace to our community, one small action at a time.
Prayer
Loving God,
As we begin this new term,
help us to be people of peace in our world.
Guide our words and actions, that we may show compassion,
kindness and understanding to all.
We give thanks for the generosity of our community
and the difference we can make together.
May we continue to walk in hope,
and be instruments of your peace each day.
Amen.
Jesus light of the world, guide us
