Reflection
While we celebrated Easter Sunday and Jesus' resurrection nearly three weeks ago, in the Catholic Church, the celebration does not end there. Easter is not just a single day; it is an entire season.
The Easter season spans 50 days, beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on the feast of Pentecost. During this time, we continue to recognise the hope, joy, and new life that the resurrection brings to our world. The liturgical colour remains white or gold, symbolising this ongoing celebration.
As we settle back into the school routine for Term 2, we encourage our students and school community to keep the spirit of the Easter season alive. We can do this through simple actions, such as showing kindness to our peers, helping those in need, and approaching our daily learning with a positive and hopeful attitude.
Prayer
Loving God,
Help us to remember
that the joy of Easter
is not just for one day.
Guide us to live out
the message of the resurrection
in our daily lives. May we bring hope,
peace, and kindness
to our school community throughout this season and beyond.
Amen.
St Carlo Acutis Exhibition
We are excited to announce that the St Carlo Acutis exhibition, which has been travelling throughout our diocese, will be visiting St Patrick's Primary School later this month.
The exhibition will be hosted at our school on Wednesday, 29th April, and Thursday, 30th April. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to learn more about St Carlo Acutis, an inspiring modern-day teenager known for his deep faith and his use of technology to share the Gospel.
As part of this special visit, all classes will be involved in dedicated workshops throughout the day on Thursday. We are pleased to welcome the Immaculata team, who will be leading these engaging sessions for our students.
We look forward to hosting this meaningful event and sharing this experience with the students.
Project Compassion Boxes
We are encouraged during Lent to give greater attention to those who might be in need. One way we are able to do this is by supporting Project Compassion over the forty days of Lent by making monetary contributions (big or small) to these boxes.
Please return your Project Compassion Boxes to school by tomorrow afternoon.
First Eucharist
Information regarding the upcoming First Eucharist program will be sent home shortly to the families of all eligible students in Years 3 and 4. This document will outline all the important details about the program. If you have any questions about the Sacrament of First Eucharist, please contact Mr. Hyatt.
Sacrament Dates for 2026
2026 First Eucharist: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Year 3 and 4 for Sunday 7th June 2026.
