Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

St. Patrick’s was buzzing with excitement on Tuesday as we opened our doors to our wonderful grandparents and special guests! It was a truly heart-warming morning focused on community, family, and connection.

The festivities kicked off at 10:00 AM with open classrooms. Our students were thrilled to show off their hard work and tour their visitors around their learning spaces. Everyone then moved to the hall for morning tea, where guests were treated to a fantastic sneak peek performance from our main ensemble cast of Alice the Musical. A big thank you to Mrs. Williams for organizing the students and helping them shine on stage!

After morning tea, we came together in the church for a beautiful Mass. Our sincere thanks go to Fr. Justin for celebrating with us, and to Mrs. Ady, our Religious Education Leader, for all her hard work behind the scenes to make the service so meaningful.

This gathering was a wonderful reminder of the love, guidance, and faith that grandparents bring into our children's lives. It was especially fitting given the Church's recent feast day honoring Saints Joachim and Anne—Jesus’ own grandparents—who exemplify the lasting strength of intergenerational faith.

An event like this takes a village, and we are immensely grateful to our Prep, Year 1, and Year 2 families for supplying such a delicious morning tea spread. We also extend our gratitude to Helen Collins, Marie Facciolo and the Parents & Friends Association for setting up the hall, keeping the tea and coffee flowing, and taking care of the cleanup.

It was a brilliant morning, and one our school community will cherish for a long time!

Sex Ed

This term St. Patrick's School will once again be providing families opportunities to access Sex Education sessions.

Our presenter and facilitator is Mrs. Sue Pain who has worked extensively at St. Patrick's School over the past few years.

The online Family Sex Ed sessions will be offered on:

Tuesday 11th August

Year 3 & 4 Families - 6pm - 7pm

Year 5 & 6 Families - 7:15pm - 8:15pm

The online booking link will be sent out via nForma next week. (Same link for both meetings)  All students must have an adult in attendance with them at all times.

Please note that we will not be providing Protective Behaviour sessions for this year as Sue does not offer them any more.  I am investigating a new provider for the 2027 school year that will be School Advisory Council (SAC) approved.

School Closure Day for Term 3

Please note that Monday 17th August is a school closure Day for Staff Professional development.  We will be working with Glen Pearsall focusing on feedback strategies and learning walks.  MACSEYE will offer a full day child care program on this day, onsite.

P&F Disco

A huge thanks to the P&F for the Student disco's held last week.  There was a lot of energy in the room all evening and the children had a fantistic time.  Special thanks to Mr Daidone (DJ Daidone) for his expertise in keeping everyone entertained.  Thanks also to the many staff who assisted with supervision on the night.
