Pyjama Day: CEF Fundraiser

On Friday 31st July, students were invited to wear pyjamas and bring a $5 donation to support the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF).

The CEF provides bursaries to families across Sydney Catholic Schools who may be experiencing financial, social or cultural hardship. These bursaries help students access and remain in a Catholic education, ensuring they can continue to learn, grow and belong.

In the past year, the CEF supported more than 7,900 students, which is more than 1 in 10 across our system. Behind every bursary is a child who can stay with their friends, a family supported through a difficult season, and a student who can continue to thrive.

By participating in this appeal, our school joins a system‑wide effort to support students and families across the Archdiocese, including those within our own community. All funds raised go directly to the CEF Bursary Fund.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support. A heartfelt thank you to our community — together we raised $576.30.

Term 3: Sacrament of Baptism

Date: Sunday 23rd August 9am

The Meaning of Baptism: Baptism is the first and most important sacrament of the Christian life. Through Baptism, your child becomes a child of God, is welcomed into the Church, and begins a lifelong journey of following Jesus Christ. Your child will grow in faith through your love, your example, and the support of our parishcommunity.

Preparing for Baptism: To help your child grow in faith, all families preparing for Baptism are invited to attend Mass regularly before the Baptism. It is very important that families make every effort to attend these Masses, so that your child may gradually become familiar with the faith and with the wonderful gift he or she is about to receive.

Preparing for Baptism is not simply about getting ready for one special day; it is about beginning a lifelong journey of faith together as a family. Your presence at Mass is one of the most meaningful ways to prepare for your child’s Baptism.

You are warmly welcome to join us each: Friday at 9:00 am or Sunday at 9:00 am.

Dress Code: Baptism is a joyful celebration where your child is welcomed into the Catholic Church community. Children who are being baptised often choose to wear white as a symbol of new life and belonging in Christ. Traditionally, girls may wear a white dress, and boys may wear a white collared shirt. Please ensure your child is dressed smartly to reflect the spiritual significance and happiness of this special occasion.

Baptism Day: Please arrive by 8:30 am so that we can meet together before Mass. During the Entrance Procession, the children to be baptised and their families will process into the church together. Each family will be shown to reserved seating in the front rows of the church. The parish will provide a baptism candle for each family.

Please note that this sacrament is a Parish based event. If you would like an alternative date, I kindky ask that you  email the parish office to arrange this.
