🌟 World Principals’ Day: THANK YOU!

World Principals’ Day was a beautiful reminder of the kindness and generosity that make our school community so special. I was deeply touched by the thoughtful gifts and heartfelt cards shared by staff, parents, and students. Your gestures were incredibly meaningful and truly appreciated.

I feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community—one filled with happiness, gratitude, and genuine care for one another.

show every day. 

Debating: Stage 3

Our Stage 3 students have made an impressive start to the debating season, representing the school with confidence, preparation, and genuine enthusiasm across the first two weeks of competition.

In Week 1, we proudly hosted the debate at St Anthony’s, where adjudicators from Marcellin College and Brigidine College generously volunteered their time and expertise. Their professionalism set a wonderful tone for the evening. Our students delivered arguments that were carefully crafted and presented with conviction, and their expressive delivery showed just how much they enjoyed being part of the event.

Week 2 saw the team travel to St Margaret Mary’s, Randwick North, where they continued to debate with energy and enthusiasm. Stepping up to speak in front of an audience is no small feat, and we commend every student for their courage, commitment, and willingness to move beyond their comfort zone.

Congratulations to all students involved—you represented the school with pride and maturity. We look forward to seeing your skills continue to grow throughout the season.

100 Days of Kindergarten 

On Wednesday 5th August our Kindergarten students marked a major milestone — 100 days of learning, growing, and having fun! From counting collections to dressing up as 100-year-olds, the day was filled with joy, creativity, and a whole lot of excitement. It’s been incredible to watch our youngest learners blossom over the past 100 days. We’re so proud of their achievements and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

🏅 SCS Athletics Championships – Sydney Olympic Park

Our students showed outstanding dedication and school spirit at the SCS Athletics Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park. Their day began long before sunrise, with many arriving at school by 6:15am—a remarkable effort that speaks volumes about their commitment and enthusiasm.

Throughout the competition, the students brought incredible energy to every event. Whether sprinting down the track, launching into field events, or cheering on their teammates, they represented the school with pride, resilience, and determination. Their willingness to push themselves, support one another, and compete at such a high level made the day truly memorable.

We congratulate all students who participated and thank them for their effort, discipline, and positive attitude. They demonstrated what it means to rise to a challenge and embody the spirit of our school community.

👮‍♂️ Police & Principals Forum

Last week, I attended the Police & Principals Forum alongside principals from primary and secondary schools across the eastern suburbs. The session, led by local police, focused on key issues affecting young people today, including e‑bike safety and student wellbeing. Their insights were practical, timely, and aligned with the challenges we see emerging in our own community.

It was also a valuable opportunity to connect with leaders from public, private, and SCS schools. Coming together with a shared commitment to student safety reinforced how important it is for all sectors to work collaboratively. We left with a united understanding of the safety awareness and proactive measures needed to support and protect our children.

Welcome to Fr Hung Le - Petting Zoo, Activities, Family Mass and Sausage Sizzle!

We warmly welcome Fr Hung and Fr Kimmi to our parish and school community for sharing their faith and fellowship. Families are invited to join us for a special Family Mass, also by attending a range of exciting activities including a petting zoo, games and a delicious sausage sizzle. Many students will be involved in the mass by reading and presenting a liturgical dance. This is a fantastic opportunity for students, parents and parishioners to come together, strengthen community connections and celebrate the joy of being part of our faith family. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with everyone and hope to see you there!
