Grade 3/4 A & 3/4B English & French Learning 

Over the past few weeks in French, students have been developing their comprehension skills by learning how to ask and answer questions about a range of texts, audio recordings, and videos.

In writing, students have begun drafting letters in French to exchange with students from a partner school in France or Canada. This authentic learning opportunity will allow students to practise their French in a meaningful context while learning about another culture. Please note that no personal information or photographs will be shared as part of this exchange.

To celebrate Bastille Day, students in 3/4A and 3/4B created colourful door decorations to show their support for the French national soccer team. They decorated their own paper soccer jerseys using the colours of the French flag and enjoyed learning about this important French national celebration through a fun and creative activity.

Although France was unfortunately defeated by Spain the following day, our students were fantastic supporters and proudly displayed their French-themed artwork around the classroom!
