Junior School Council

Junior School Council have been working hard and continuing to improve the school. We celebrated World Teachers Day by hosting a Crazy Hat Day to say ‘Hats Off to Teachers’. This was to show each of the teachers at school how appreciative we are of all their dedication, effort and help.

Remembrance Day was presented to the school during assembly and a minute silence followed on the 11th of the 11th. This is important to us to remember the millions who have served and died for our freedom and to reflect on the sacrifices they made. During this week, we will be selling badges and Remembrance Day items to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

We have managed to reduce the amount of paper placed in recycling bins across the school.  We presented alternative ideas at assembly for classes to put in place. These included creating Scrap Paper bins where people can reuse pieces of paper in the classroom, photocopying less and thinking of other ways to record information.

Lastly, we are continuing to work towards no rubbish in the yard, students staying out of buildings during break times and we are looking forward to helping with the schools Fun Run!
