Harmony Day
Harmony Day is celebrated across Australia on 21 March each year. It is a day dedicated to recognising and embracing the rich cultural diversity that makes up our community.
At Uraidla Primary School, Harmony Day provides an opportunity for staff, students, and families to come together and promote the message that “Everyone Belongs”.
The day encourages respect, inclusiveness, and a sense of belonging for all Australians, regardless of background. Students participated in a range of activities that celebrate multiculturalism and highlight the importance of respecting differences. We invited families to join us in celebrating Harmony Day, supporting our commitment to building a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
Over the past two years we have combined grandparents/special persons day and Harmony Day. This has allowed students to do an activity with their guest and to invite them to be part of the Uraidla Community for the afternoon.
This year Parents and Friends provided cakes and drinks for our grandparents/special people before going into classrooms to complete a mosaic activity and a portrait picture. It has been a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all who attended.
We hope you enjoy the images from the day.
