July Vacation Care report
Activities in the July Vacation Care program have included a chemistry show by Nitro Nat that was very popular with the children. Colour changing and chemical reactions were lots of fun. Crazy hair day saw some weird and wonderful creations, with glitter colours and out of this world styles. Painting a canvas masterpiece was amazing with lots of budding artists taking their finished art home to display. Tie-dyed tops and jumpers were also a very popular activity as were the temporary tattoos, with multiple tattoos on most of the children. Footy fun day had a lot of children dressed in their footy colours ready for some footy skills on the oval as well as footy colours face painting. The excursion to the Adelaide Hills was a big hit with everyone. We went to Beerenberg Farm for morning tea before heading on to Melbas Chocolate Factory to pick up some yummy snacks!
Parents are welcome to offer suggestions for programming ideas and to participate on our OSHC committee which meets twice a term. Being a member of this committee allows families to have even more input into the program and if anyone is interested in becoming involved please come and talk to Guy or myself.
Most families are entitled to the Child Care Subsidy so please apply to Centrelink to see if you are eligible. The subsidy is applied to all fees including the additional ones for excursions and Incursions.
