Canteen
St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Walcha
Volunteers Needed
A little help is needed in the canteen!
At our recent P&F meeting, we discussed the growing need for more canteen volunteers.
We currently have fewer volunteers than ever, despite having our highest enrolment and family numbers in the past five years. Our canteen relies on parents, grandparents and members of our school community giving up a small amount of their time to help keep it running.
The canteen raises thousands of dollars each year, with all profits going straight back into resources and opportunities for our children. Every canteen day we are unable to operate means lost income that could otherwise be put back into the school.
You don’t need to commit to every week — even helping out occasionally makes a huge difference. If you can spare a few hours, we would love to hear from you.
Let’s keep our canteen running and make sure those funds continue to benefit our kids.
If you can help, please get in touch with the P&F or let the school office know.
Thank you to everyone who already volunteers — your time and support are genuinely appreciated.
Please keep your receipts
Please remember to keep receipts for any purchases made for the canteen.
There is a pink box in the canteen for receipts.
Please place receipts from IGA, Foodworks or Cross Bros. Butchery in here please.
Compass Canteen
Families are able to order and pay for their children's lunch orders online through the Compass App.
If you have any trouble using the Canteen feature in Compass please feel free to read the guide below or send Karen an email on krizzi1@arm.catholic.edu.au
A few things to remember:
Cut off time for online ordering is 9:30am on the day of canteen. This allows plenty of time for the administration side of things to be completed before our volunteers arrive.
Ordering online is optional but preferred as it limits cash handling. If you still wish to place an order on a brown paper bag, please try and enclose correct money as change is limited due to majority of students using the online ordering option.
Baskets will be placed outside the canteen for teachers to distribute to the students.
Please be assured that frequent hand washing, wearing of gloves and regular safe food handling practices will be adhered to at all times.
