Held in Every Season
Welcome back, families to term 4 and what a term lies ahead!
Term 4 is one of the most vibrant seasons in our school calendar, filled with celebrations, showcases such as HoTV: made2 create, milestones, and meaningful moments as we bring this year to a close together. There is much to look forward to, and we cannot wait to share each moment with you.
And yet, alongside the excitement, we are also mindful that the end of a school year is rarely simple. Scripture reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is "a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens". Wisdom lies in honouring each season well, rather than rushing past it. Bernii Goodwin, through her Loving Our Students on Purpose framework, captures something of this truth - that for many students, this season holds a genuine paradox: it is a time of both grief and celebration. As a Christian community, we believe we are people who can hold both, because we are held by a God who is faithful in every season.
For some of our students, this term quietly carries the weight of change; cohorts moving on, year levels shifting, familiar rhythms fading, and the bittersweet reality that even good change asks something of us. Your child may step into this term feeling curious and anxious, excited and unsure, and that is completely okay. Our faith reminds us that God meets us in the in-between places, and our staff will walk alongside your child through this season with that same spirit, holding space for both celebration and complexity.
As families, you are our most powerful partners. We encourage you to open gentle conversations at home. This could include naming your child's feelings, speaking truth and encouragement over them, and reminding them that growth, even when it is hard, is part of how God shapes us into who we are becoming.
Term 4 is a time of celebration, reflection, and real growth. We are deeply grateful to journey through it alongside you and your family.
