Grade 6 Toysale
There were so many toys on offer at the annual Grade 6 Toy Sale Graduation Fundraiser held last Friday! The event provided the perfect opportunity for families to clean out their toy cupboards and give pre-loved toys a new home. There was an incredible variety of items for sale, including stuffed toys, slime, a bicycle, board games, figurines, musical instruments and jigsaw puzzles—all at very reasonable prices.
A big thank you to all the families who generously donated toys and to everyone who supported the fundraiser by making a purchase. The Grade 6 students raised an impressive $1,615.55 towards their graduation celebrations.
Principal of the Day
Grace in 4A last week had the very important job of being Principal for the Day. She began her day by creating her own Principal name badge before setting off around the school with clipboard in hand.
Grace visited many classrooms to observe teaching and learning, recording the subjects and activities taking place throughout the day. During her classroom visits, she awarded stickers to students who demonstrated our school values of respect, responsibility, kindness, honesty and friendship. She even awarded a sticker to herself!
As Principal for the Day, Grace also carried out a number of important responsibilities, including running errands, putting up posters and asking the office staff to call a wet weather timetable. Grace was exceptional Principal of the Day and was rewarded with a hot milo in the staffroom made by Ms D.
Victoria Rocks
Times Tables Rock Stars is a maths program utilised by TPS that has a proven track record of boosting students’s fluency and recall in multiplication and division. Our students very much enjoy the program gathering in the the hall during recess time with their laptops to compete against other schools participating the the program. The friendly competition motivates students to practise regularly while building their confidence and speed with multiplication and division. Pictured are our latest Rock Stars.
