School Fee Accounts due

A reminder - all accounts are due for final payment on Thursday 30 November.

City Light Café Canteen Changes

There will be NO canteen on Friday 8 December, due to whole school picnic events.

Thank you to all parents who supported the Canteen trial this year. Next year, due to logistical issues, the canteen will not continue in the same format. Instead of weekly canteen lunches, we will offer Special Days once a month, open to the whole school on the same day. Orders for these days will continue to be placed and paid for through the Qkr! app. Details will be forthcoming.

For all enquiries please contact the Canteen Manager, Sally O'Neal via email - connections.cafe.citylight@gmail.com

(not the school office)

When the Café is closed - Note to Parents/Carers

Bags of Hope

The Joy of Christmas doesn't extend to all families across Tasmania.

Our Year 12 and 10 student leaders are supporting a Salvation Army initiative. The Salvation Army is asking schools and members of the community to help fill a Bag of Hope this Christmas.

The Salvos are anticipating that there will be an increased need for support this Christmas as more people turn to them for help due to the rising cost of living.

Library Books to be Returned by Friday!

ALL Library books need to be returned by Friday 24 November. No borrowing after this date.

Please look under beds and on book shelves and see which class can find all their books.

Thank you for the faithful students and parents who regularly return their books!

Year 7 Transition Day (Repeat)

On Tuesday 5 December, current and prospective Year 6 students will have a Year 7 Transition Day. This will be a full day of engaging activities and challenges designed to introduce students to new peers, staff, subjects and facilities. The day also includes a free pizza lunch on the Secondary Plaza. Existing SCC students will start and end the day in their normal Home Room classes. New students will meet in the Lower Hall at 9am.

All students are to wear their school’s sports uniform.

Parking on Redwood Road - REMINDER (Repeat)

We currently have 3 buses that collect students from the College after school on Redwood Road at the bus stop. At times we can have 3 buses arrive all at once, which means that the buses need more than one spot to stop and wait.

To ensure that our school children can get on the buses safely, we do need to ask that you please leave the area above the bus stop clear for the buses to use.

There is plenty of parking space available below the bus stop and around the corner into Cassia place.

We will need to ask drivers to move from the area above the bus stop if they are parked there in the future to ensure our students are safe.

Save the Term 4 Dates! (Repeat)

The Infant Celebration Event was listed twice on the copy sent home to families. The correct date is Wednesday 29 November (NOT 5 Dec).

Gastroenteritis (Repeat)

We have had a number of incidences of Gastroenteritis over the past week. Please be advised that children are not to return to school until they have been free from vomiting or diarrhoea for at least 48 hours from their last episode.

Hand Washing Reminder! (Repeat)

Please remind your children of the importance of hand washing well and often.

Reminder! (Repeat)

A reminder that all students should be now wearing their formal summer uniform. With a number of special assemblies and events approaching this is very important.
