North Shore Zone Swimming Carnival

Next Tuesday, Holy Family Lindfield will be taking a team of 29 talented swimmers to the North Shore Zone Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to these students on their achievements. I am sure they will represent our school with pride and I look forward to sharing with you their results in the next newsletter.

Gout Gout Blazes to Historic 100m Record

This week we can take some extra sports inspiration from Australian Teen sprint sensation Gout Gout who has stunned Australian athletics again, clocking a blistering 10.00 (+0.9) in Brisbane — the fastest legal 100m ever run by an Australian on home soil.

The 18‑year‑old is already famous for breaking Usain Bolt’s under‑16 record and continues to rise rapidly after a standout year that included a World Championships debut and multiple national records.

Gout now sits third on the Australian all‑time list, behind Patrick Johnson and Lachlan Kennedy — an extraordinary achievement for an athlete still in his teens. What an inspiration!
