Reading   

In Reading, the students have been reading the text, ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo, engaging in read-aloud and shared reading opportunities. 

The novel explores themes of friendship, survival, and the importance of understanding and respecting the natural world. It also delves into the enduring impact of war on individuals and the healing power of human connections.

Students have also been learning from non-fiction texts about sailing around the world which provides them with the necessary background knowledge required to complete their writing tasks.
