This term, students are embarking on a purposeful unit centered on the theme: Lent: Jesus’ Mission of Healing, Repentance, and Conversion.
Rather than simply "giving things up," we are encouraging the students to look at Lent as a Journey of the Heart. We are exploring how Jesus prepared Himself for His mission and how we can follow His lead to become healers in our own community.
What we are exploring:
Healing: Understanding that Jesus came to mend what is broken—not just bodies, but relationships and spirits.
Repentance: Moving beyond a simple "sorry" to a true desire to change our direction.
Conversion (Metanoia): Using the image of a U-Turn to describe how we turn away from selfish choices and toward acts of love and service.
The Stations of the Cross: Following Jesus' journey to Calvary to understand the depth of His sacrifice and the hope of the Resurrection.
