Year 4 Excursion
Last week, our very excited Year 4 students set off on their two-day excursion to Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre. After arriving and settling into their rooms, the students were eager to begin their first activities. Split into two groups, they rotated through a variety of experiences, starting with Rogaining which is an orienteering challenge where they used maps to locate hidden characters around the site. After lunch, everyone enjoyed some friendly competition during tabloid sports in the pool.
That evening, the fun continued with “Country Fair” in the homestead hall, where students ran their own ‘businesses’ such as face painting, mini golf, massages, and beauty booths. The hall was filled with laughter and imaginative ideas from all the students!
Day two consisted of BMX riding and archery before cooling off on the giant slip ’n’ slide!! The bus collected a very happy (and tired) group of students to return home on Friday afternoon.
It was a fantastic excursion full of teamwork, fun, and wonderful memories!
Year 6 Excursion
After a massive 10-hour journey yesterday, our Year 6 students arrived safe and sound in Canberra last night! Time on the bus was filled with karaoke, movies, and card games, making the trip fly by.
A few quick stops to stretch their legs, plus a longer lunch break in Wellington for a play at the park, were greatly appreciated.
After a restful night’s sleep, the group is excited to explore Canberra today! Their itinerary includes visits to the Australian War Memorial, National Gallery of Australia, National Electoral Education Centre, and the Royal Australian Mint.
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic first day in Canberra!
