Curriculum Areas & People Spotlight
On Thursday October 16th, eleven Williamstown North students attended the Hobsons Bay Division Hot Shots Tennis event in Williamstown.
On a beautiful day, students competed in both singles and doubles matches, and experienced a range of results throughout the day.
It was fantastic to see so many of our students competing to the best of their ability against other local schools, and displaying the values of team-work and perseverance.
Congratulations to everyone for making it a positive experience. Overall, we placed second in the division.
A special thank you to Mrs Lawler for coming along to support the team. Your willingness to contribute is greatly appreciated.
On Tuesday October 21st, twelve of Willy North’s best athletes attended the Western Metro Region Athletics, at the Keilor Park Athletics Track.
Students competed in a range of events including, 100, 200, hurdles, relay, long jump, triple jump and shot put.
All of our students displayed excellent determination, positivity and sportsmanship, each competing to the best of their ability. Congratulations to Audrey, Charli, Elijah, Elsie, Evan, Finn, Huxley, India, Indiana, Isla and Natalija for their outstanding efforts.
A special congratulations and good luck, to the 11-Year-Old Girls 4x100m Relay Team, Audrey, India, Indiana and Charli who have qualified for the School Sport Victoria State Athletics event.
To compete at this elite level of competition is a credit to the students for their hard work, dedication and athleticism. Well-done.
On Thursday October 30th, Lacrosse players from Williamstown North Primary School attended the District Lacrosse event at Paisley Park in Altona North.
With students competing across both the girls’ and boys’ divisions against schools from Williamstown, Newport and Altona, both teams experienced a range of different results throughout the day.
All of our students displayed excellent skill, spirit and sportsmanship, each competing to the best of their ability. Congratulations to everyone for their outstanding efforts. Overall, the girls team finished third and boys team placed first.
A special thank you to the parents who were able to support us throughout the day, and good luck to the teams in the State Final in a few weeks’ time.
