Italian Day 2025

Dear St Mary’s Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the successful Italian Day we celebrated a few weeks ago. Thank you for attending our morning assembly and listening to your children share one aspect of their learning in the Italian language.  Thank you for assisting them with their magnificent costume for the day. A great deal of time and effort was devoted to them. They all looked fabulous in their colours and outfit. 

The children spent the remainder of the day participating in four workshops - soccer skills, mosaic activity, building Italian icons and a kahoot. Their special treat of pizza and gelato was enjoyed by all. Buonissimo! The Italian flag hunt organised by Mrs Erica was loved by everyone. Congratulations to Aashvi in Year 5 /6, Thomas in Year 3 /4, and Eleanor in the junior years for finding the most amount of flags in their search.

Thank you to the parent helpers who assisted with the collection and distribution of the food.

Thank you to all the staff and LSO’s for directing the children in each activity.

Thank you Mr Millane for your organisation which ensured a smooth transition to all activities.

A fun-filled day was endured by all! Grazie Mille!
