RIVERSDALE

Riversdale Report

2023 has been an incredibly exciting year for Riversdale! From music to sport, fundraisers to academics, the students of Riversdale have shown outstanding talent, compassion, enthusiasm and Chev spirit.

Beginning our time as leaders with the 'Polished Man' initiative, we  were able to raise over $400 in support of victims of domestic violence. Thank you to everyone who supported us in raising funds, and to those who painted their fingernails to help us raise awareness for such an important cause.

The Swimming Carnival kicked off 2023, and Riversdale did not disappoint! Riversdale students showed amazing house spirit on the day with their costumes and chants, helping the house achieve second place. We had many competitive students earning points and it was amazing to see such high levels of participation and enthusiasm from all members of Riversdale!

We tied with Reid house for fourth place in Cross Country, and we saw an incredible effort from all of the hardworking athletes who signed up. Placing fourth in the Athletics Carnival, the students of Riversdale certainly stood out for their cheers, as well as their sportsmanship and support of house teammates.

It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to lead such an amazing group of students this year, and to witness their countless contributions to both Riversdale and the College. We are endlessly grateful to have worked with such an active and passionate team of Year 12 House Leaders throughout 2023.

Thank you to all of the Riversdale Homeroom teachers who were always there to support our ventures and encourage participation across each of the year groups.

Finally, congratulations to Grace B and Hamish K, the new Riversdale House Captains for 2024! We wish you the best luck for the year ahead.
