And the Winner is.....

Me!

Well done to everyone who entered our CCK Family and Friends Footy Tipping Comp for 2024.

After 24 rounds of what has been the most unpredictable season ever,  our top tippers are:

• 1st  - Me
• 2nd - Lara Verga
• 3rd - Always Contact Matt Spicer
• 4th -  Anh Abboud

While I'm happy to claim 'bragging rights' as CCK's best tipper, I will step aside from the podium and divide the prize pool among our second, third, and fourth-place getters. 

Place getters can collect their prize money from the school office on Friday.

Guess Who Came to Visit

Last week, Mrs Chrissie Marakis and baby Aki came to visit the staff and children. Everyone was so excited to see them. You should have seen the children's faces when they recognised their special visitors and Aki certainly lapped up the attention. Both Aki and Chrissie looked fabulous.

Uniform

It is expected that children wear their correct uniform every day of the week. Sports uniforms are only to be worn on days when children are timetabled for sport, and runners are only to be worn with the sports uniform.

If your child is not in the correct uniform on any given day, a note should be provided to the school office.

I ask that all families support our uniform policy.

Medical Ailments 

A reminder that if your child has a medical ailment that will require an adjustment to be made to normal school activities, a note needs to be provided to your child's teacher.

Learning Conferences

Term 3 Learning Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, 18th September, between 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

Classroom Cuisine

Classroom Cuisine commenced on Monday, as a supplement to our existing Lunch Order offerings, with a number of families taking up the option.

Please bear in mind that all food items are designed to be served chilled or AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.

Please note that orders must be placed by 8:30 a.m. on Mondays.

Classroom Cuisine uses as little packaging as possible and favours paper-based recyclable products over plastic products. However, as we are a 'Nude Food' school, children will still need to take home any packaging waste.

Footy Colours Dress Up Day

A reminder that this Friday 30th August we will celebrate the AFL final series with our annual ‘Footy Colours Dress-Up Day’.

On this day children are invited to wear their favourite AFL team colours to school and I hope to see a sea of black and white (Go Pies!)

Fathers' Day Brekky 

Also on Friday 30th August, we will kick off Fathers' Day Weekend (ha ha), with our Fathers’ Day Breakfast. 

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. and what better to serve Dad than a hot bacon and egg roll? Don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school (dads and children)!

Fathers' Day Stall

Following breakfast, our traditional Fathers’ Day Stall will return. There will be a myriad of gifts to choose from starting from as little as $1.00. It is up to each family to decide what would be an appropriate amount to spend.

• Monday 4th November: Teacher Time in Lieu Aquittal Day
• Tuesday 5th November: Melbourne Cup Public Holiday
