Student Achievements

Congratulations to the following students:
A big congratulations to Kobe (Year 10) for selection to represent Tasmania in the U17 Volleyball squad to attend the Youth Volleyball Championships, to be held in Western Australia later this year.
What an exciting achievement Kobe!
Izzy Anrol (Year 8) has been selected to represent Tasmania at the Gymnastics Australia Bigham Cup to be held in Western Australia. Well done on this exciting achievement Izzy!
Student success at the Southern Tasmania Junior Football League Beakley Awards!
A big congratulations to all MacKillop students who were nominated for these special awards. It is wonderful to see such a high standard of AFL talent here at the College.

Henry Latter(Year 8) won the U14 Boys award
Pippa Blackler (Year 8) won the U14 Girls award
Phoebe Sallese (Year 9) won the U16 Girls award for the second consecutive year
Ashton Shaw (Year 10) won the U16.5 Boys award
Over the next few weeks, these students will be receiving their first Holy Communion in the Bellerive/Lindisfarne parish. Let us hold them in our prayers as they prepare for this sacred and joyous milestone in their faith journey.

Henry Fraser (Year 12) has been selected in this year's short list for the Young Tasmanian Writers Prize 2025 for his work 'The Mild Adventures of a Passive-Aggressive Lightbulb'.
Henry's story will also be published by Forty South Publishing later this year, in an anthology titled Up and Coming.
Well done Henry and good luck at the announcement of prizes at Town Hall coming up soon.
