Directors Update

Student Leadership 2025-2026

Last week we concluded the first stage of the Student Leadership Nominations for the 2025-2026 term of office. It is with sincere gratitude that we acknowledge all of the applicants who contested the positions of College Captains and College Deputy Captains. 

All applicants completed a rigorous program of creating a Profile Statement, submitting a letter of application, addressing their peers with a recorded speech and undertaking a panel-based interview. It is fair to say we were fortunate to have such a high calibre of students nominating for these important roles.

Undeniably, the key theme to shine through this process was the genuine desire for these students to make MacKillop Catholic College a place of excellence, compassion and service. We look forward to seeing this team progress the many ideas that were shared throughout the process.

It is with pleasure that we share the following Student Leaders: Executive Appointments:

College Captains

Saskia Young and Fernando Boaventura

Deputy College Captains

Pascal Tilyard and Isabella Patten

We look forward to formally commissioning these leaders later in the year and congratulate them on their selection.

The second stage of the Student Leadership process is well underway, with House Captain nominees delivering speeches to their respective Houses on August 22, followed by a period of voting within the House cohorts. Shortly, these applicants will also undertake an interview process prior to final selections being announced.

The final stage of the Student Leadership process will see us interviewing for Committee Captains in the areas of:

Arts, Academics, Sports, Sustainability, Wellbeing and Mission and Identity. We wish candidates for these roles all the best for what lies ahead.
