“Lent: A Time to Pray, Help, and Love”

As we begin the season of Lent, I thought I would share some information to support you in talking about this special time with your children. I appreciate that explaining the nuances of faith can sometimes feel challenging, especially when little ones ask big questions, so we hope these resources make those conversations a little easier and more meaningful.

Want to be a better man, husband or Father?

Fr Richard will be launching a men's initiative for Lent—rather than just giving up chocolate, do something more meaningful! It will involve a weekly meeting and daily challenges/tasks. The sessions are fun and engaging whilst addressing in a real way the things that every man needs to deal with, but few ever get the chance to. With a focus on being men of sexual integrity, this program draws on wisdom from well-known experts, shares powerful teachings, and helps men apply life-changing principles in their own lives.

Session details:

Option 1:  every Tuesday evening for 8 weeks, 7-8.30pm, beginning 24 Feb.Location: St Patrick’s Hall

Option 2: every Wednesday evening for 8 weeks, 7.45-9.15pm, beginning 25 Feb.Location: St Patrick’s Presbytery Meeting Room

Dominican Women's Lenten Retreat

I would like to invite you to join me for a Women's Lenten Retreat at St. Mary's Cathedral on Saturday, 14 March. If you have never experienced a retreat before, I highly recommend this one. It's perfect for both novices and those who have participated in retreats before.

The Dominican sisters leading the retreat are not only very spiritual, but also incredibly smart, funny and relatable, making this a very uplifting experience.

If you are interested in joining me, please use the link to book your ticket and let me know so that we can coordinate the logistics for getting there and meeting up.

If Saturday, 14 March doesn't work for you, there is also a retreat on Saturday, 28 February that you are welcome to attend.

Please contact me if you are planning to attend or if you would like more information - ann.woodhouse01@syd.catholic.edu.au

I promise that you will have a great day.
