🏃 Mordialloc District Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to all of our students who represented SJV at the Mordialloc District Athletics Carnival. Our students had a fantastic day, with SJV athletes finishing in the top five in 20 events, and six students progressing through to the Kingston Division Athletics Carnival on October 8th.
A special congratulations to:
- Joaquin, who won the 9/10-year-old Multi Class 800m, 200m and Long Jump
- Jacob, who won the 11-year-old 200m and finished 2nd in the 100m
- Xavier S, who won both the 11-year-old 1500m and 800m
- Olivia M, who finished 2nd in the 9/10-year-old Triple Jump.
- The 11-year-old 4x100m relay team of Jacob, Lenny, Xavier and Christian, who finished 2nd.
A wonderful achievement for SJV was taking home the Handicap Trophy, awarded to the school that earns the most points relative to its student population. This is a fantastic recognition of the participation and achievements of all our students. Well done to everyone who competed and represented SJV with pride! We wish our students progressing to Division Athletics the very best of luck.
Run Club
Run Club will continue in term 4. On Fridays, all grade 3-6 students are invited to join the Run Club. We meet at Walter Galt Reserve 8:15 AM, and students will be escorted to school once finished. It's been wonderful to see so more students get involved.
Looking forward to seeing you all next term!
