Celebrating Our Confirmation Students

Last Friday, at our whole school assembly, our Grade 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on 16 August were proudly presented with their Confirmation certificates.

We congratulate these students once again on this very special milestone in their faith journey. May the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen them as they grow in faith and live as disciples of Jesus.

We continue to keep them in our prayers.

The Exaltation of the Holy Cross—September 14th

On 14 September, the Church celebrates the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The Cross reminds us that even through suffering and difficulty, hope remains. For Christians, the Cross is ultimately a sign of God’s extraordinary love for us, revealed through Jesus, and of life triumphing over death.

PRAYER

Loving God,

As we look upon the Cross, remind us of the great love Jesus has for each one of us.

While life is difficult, give us courage. When others are struggling, help us show compassion. When we feel discouraged, give us hope.

Teach us to carry our own crosses with faith and hope others carry theirs.

May the Cross always remind us that love is stronger than hatred, hope is stronger than despair, and life is stronger than death.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

AMEN

Happy Holidays!

Lord,

As we come to the end of this term, we thank You for the many blessings You have given us. Thank You for the opportunities to learn, to grow, and to share our gifts with one another. We are grateful for our teachers, families, and friends who have supported and encouraged us throughout the term. Thank You for the joyful moments, the challenges that helped us grow, and the kindness we have received and shared. As we begin our holiday break, keep us safe in Your loving care.

Fill our hearts with peace, joy, and gratitude. Help us to rest, spend time with those we love, and return refreshed and ready for a new term of learning. May we continue to follow Jesus in all that we do, showing love, compassion, and respect to everyone we meet.

Amen.
