Bunjil Awards

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind. Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal. This process is always a great chance for us to hear from the kids and ask them some questions about our school. 

First Aid in Schools

Our students will be participating in a St John Ambulance First Aid in Schools session on either Wednesday 7 October or Thursday 8 October.

The sessions are designed to introduce students to practical, age-appropriate first aid skills and help them understand what to do in an emergency.

We’re looking forward to students taking part in this valuable and engaging learning experience.

Hats

Could all students please bring along their hats, all ready for next term. 

With warmer weather (hopefully!) on the way, it’s also a good time to top up uniforms. Please remember to follow our school’s uniform guidelines when purchasing new items. These can be found on our website: Buninyong PS Uniform Guidelines. 

Ready, Set, Grow

Our Grade 3 students have had a fantastic term getting their hands dirty in our school garden! From weeding and watering to harvesting and tasting, the students have been busy learning what it takes to grow and care for fresh food.

Throughout the term, students have harvested and tried a range of vegetables, including cabbage, rocket, broccoli, radish and even purple carrots!

A big part of the program has been encouraging students to try something new, discover where our food comes from and enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors and working together.

There have been plenty of muddy hands, curious taste testers and lots of learning along the way. We’re so proud of the way our Grade 3s have embraced the garden and all it has to offer.
