Welcome to another glorious year in the Monivae College Library.

Things have begun in earnest for 2025 in our beautiful Library, aren’t we very happy about that.

It is a joy welcoming our new Year 7 students, many of whom are in the Library every day at Recess and Lunchtime.  For Mrs Herrmann and myself it will take a little while to get to know you all, But as part of our ‘work’ here in the Library this is a task we enjoy very much.

Our first Uniting Church Lunch took place this week with Mr Phil Wheaton taking five Year 10 students to volunteer. We are doing things a little bit differently this year, a beautiful lunch was catered for by our Food Technolgy classes.  Thank you to Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Golding, Mrs Graham and all the students.  Your offering was very well received.

As always Chess is alive and well in the Library and in fact the number of Year 7 students playing every day is wonderful to see. It looks like we may have much larger numbers competing in our House Chess Competition this year.
