House Swimming Carnival

With a change of date due to the extreme weather forecast,  Monday 17th was set for a more pleasant day.  The pool area looked amazing with the new House gazebos and flags set up.

Although a little quiet to start with, the atmosphere certainly improved as “DJ” Mr Price, started cranking out the tunes.

A huge effort by students to ensure that their Houses were in races, regardless of their abilities was admirable. As the tunes continued, the BBQ sizzling and the iced chocolates flowing, the students cheering for their team mates as they pushed themselves in the pool.

Piperon were certainly there to ensure that their swimmer heard them cheering as they cheered and yelled their new House chant. The hardwork that the team put in cheering earned them the coveted House Cheering Trophy. Piperon is the first name on the new trophy.

Piperon went on to win the day in the pool well. Congratulations to House Leader Colleen Watt and House Captains Emily Jellie and Tiana Keegan for leading their charges to victory.
