Little Learners Love Literacy

Little Learners Love Literacy is a research-based program that helps young children develop strong reading and writing skills. Through stories, songs, and activities, children learn to confidently read and spell using sounds and letters. The program is designed to build a love of literacy in a natural, joyful way.

This year, the Little Learners Love Literacy program is being used in Prep and Year 1, with Year 2 students set to begin in 2026. 

Learning to read is a journey that takes time, encouragement, and plenty of support. Every child develops at their own pace, so it’s important to celebrate the small milestones along the way. When reading feels enjoyable and rewarding, children are more likely to stay motivated and build a strong foundation for lifelong literacy.  Below are some additional activities you can try at home to further support your child’s phonics development.
