Last Monday’s assembly was a wonderful celebration of all the great things happening at POPS! Our school choir gave a fantastic performance, the office team spoke proudly about their leadership roles, and the Year 1/2 students shared highlights from their exciting camp day.
Our Community House Captains proudly launched our new Token Rewards System, which many families may have already heard about.
Over the past two years, we’ve been developing our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program, setting clear behaviour expectations and class goals. The next exciting step is working towards a whole school reward, students voted for either a movie and popcorn afternoon or a whole school water fight (and yes, one option is very popular!).
Staff are now giving tokens to students or groups of students who are inclusive, polite, caring for the environment, playing fairly, following rules, and staying safe. Students earn tokens when staff notice these great behaviours in action.
It’s wonderful seeing everyone work together towards the school reward. A big thank you to Miss Munforte for leading this fantastic initiative! To read more plese visit the SWPBS at POPS page.

As we plan class structures for next year, we ask that families not returning to POPS in 2026 notify us in writing as soon as possible. This helps us finalise class groupings and staffing. If you know families considering enrolling at POPS, please encourage them to contact us soon so we can include them in our planning.
Families wishing to share information to support class placements are asked to email Mrs Bullen and me by Friday, October 31. Please note that while we value insights about your child’s learning and wellbeing, specific teacher requests cannot be accommodated.
