From the Classroom

The Year 3 and 4 students are learning that flowering plants begin life as seeds. When a seed has enough warmth, air and water, it starts to grow, roots push down into the soil and a small shoot reaches up toward the sun. With enough light, it becomes a seedling and then develops into an adult plant. When it is ready to reproduce, the plant grows flowers. After pollination and fertilisation, the flowers turn into fruit containing new seeds. When those seeds receive what they need to grow, the life cycle begins again, just like how our learning continues to grow and develop over time.
