Grade 1/2 Superstars

Earlier this year, during Book Week, our primary students took part in an exciting interactive book launch hosted by the State Library with much-loved author Andy Griffiths. He introduced his latest book, You, Me and The Peanut Butter Beast, and inspired our students to get creative by coming up with their own imaginative story titles.

As part of the launch, schools were invited to submit their students’ work for the chance to win a signed copy of Andy’s new book. Our Grade 1/2 students enthusiastically created their own colourful book covers, which Mrs Jones proudly sent off - with fingers tightly crossed!

We are thrilled to share that Bayside P-12 College was selected as one of the winners!

The signed copy of You, Me and The Peanut Butter Beast will first be enjoyed by the Grade 1/2 students as part of their class reading before it becomes available for everyone to borrow from the primary library. You can also see the students’ creative book cover designs proudly displayed outside their classroom and in the primary library space.

My Canvas, My Art – Celebrating Student Achievement - 8C Art Exhibition

Celebrating our students’ achievements helps them feel proud of their work and fosters a belief that they can succeed and continue to grow.

We are delighted to announce that 8C’s artwork will once again be exhibited at the Hobsons Bay City Council Civic Centre from 17 October to 6 November, between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

An Event and Award Celebration will be held on Thursday, 24 October, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

We invite you to join us in celebrating and sharing the joy of this wonderful exhibition. A special thank you to Ms Corral, 8C’s Art Teacher, for her guidance and support in making this achievement possible.
